The team comes from diverse backgrounds in energy, technology, finance, government, and defense but all share a common desire to expedite the world’s transition to a more sustainable planet. The nine advisors were selected for their experience and proven ability to help Joi Scientific successfully commercialize its Hydrogen 2.0™ technology and make it broadly accessible and affordable in both developed and developing economies. The majority of the business advisors have been actively involved with the company since its inception.

Bradford Baker is a serial entrepreneur and strategist currently serving as CEO of Nexus Biometrics, Inc., a provider of mobile security which he founded in 2004. Among his previous roles, Baker was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as one of the youngest White House Fellows ever. President George H.W. Bush also appointed him as one of four individuals to serve on the Executive Board of the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) Oversight Board, established in 1989 to reorganize the thrift banking industry.
Ron Haeckel is a retired Air Force Brigadier General with over 30 years’ experience in space and missile operations with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Energy (DoE), where he managed a budget of $6.4 billion and assets of $30 billion as the head of nuclear energy for the United States. Since 2008 Haeckel has worked as a senior associate with the Durango Group and TechSource, Inc., where he provides expertise in space, cyberspace, and nuclear planning and operations to the U.S. Air Force Headquarters and Air Force Space Command.
Hutch Hutchinson is a senior executive with more than 20 years’ experience in leading business, technology, and community transformation. For the past 16 years, Hutchinson has served as CEO of Be One, Inc., a performance coaching and consulting services firm focused on enhancing the return on people, process, and technology.
Steven Michael has more than 35 years of wide-ranging executive experience in operations, finance, marketing, and strategic planning. Formerly he was Chief Operations Officer for Oakwood Homes Corp., a New York Stock Exchange company, where he was responsible for more than $1 billion in revenue. Michael currently serves as Executive Consultant and Advisor to the Chairman and CEO at Marinemax, the world’s largest retailer of boats and yachts.
Jack Milavic has led a distinguished 47-year career in international aviation standardization, certification, security, and management efficiency instruction and auditor that spans civilian, federal, and military posts. During this time, Milavic served in the federal government for almost 30 years with the U.S. Department of State in the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Office and with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Jesus Remón brings significant expertise to Joi Scientific in both risk management and strategies relevant to utility power companies through his 20 years in the energy sector spanning operations, project development, financing, acquisitions, and energy trading. Remón is President and founder of My 4 Rules, a telehealth company providing one-on-one disease management services. He is also President of Customers Rule Insurance, an independent commercial insurance brokerage whose clients include large electric utilities and manufacturers, sovereign countries, and the U.S. federal government.
Bruce Rogers is Chairman of Virtual, Inc., one of the nation’s leading association management companies working with more than 1,000 businesses worldwide. Rogers has launched more than 20 technology-focused industry associations, some of which have helped to create or reshape global technology markets, including the ASP Industry Consortium (the precursor to today’s cloud computing/Software-as-a-Service model).
Stefan Sjöström is Microsoft’s Vice President for the Public Sector Asia where he oversees sales and market development activities for Government, Public Safety & National Security, Healthcare and Education across the region. Having worked in an international cross-cultural environment for over 30 years, Sjöström has a deep understanding of and appreciation for global market dynamics.
Lanty L. Smith is the founder, Chairman, and CEO of Tippet Capital, LLC, an investment and merchant banking firm. He is the former Chairman and CEO of Wachovia Corporation, a diversified financial services company that operated the fourth largest commercial bank and the second largest securities brokerage network in the U.S.
